Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aquiles Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and josh mccabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mccabe throws a sloppy head kick and Castro moves out of range easily.
mccabe throws a half hearted mid kick.
mccabe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

mccabe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Castro looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
mccabe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
mccabe is looking to take a break and control but Castro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

mccabe seems to be working for a kimura but Castro defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

mccabe tries to close the distance and clinch but Castro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Castro wants to get back to full guard.

mccabe lands a couple of digs.
Castro wants to sweep but no luck.

Castro bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in mccabe's guard.

mccabe pushes a forearm under Castro's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Castro is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
