PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Prince Kinney (ranked 5943 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joh Fabnik (ranked 5920 p4p, 0 weight class). Fabnik has chosen COLD as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabnik catches Kinney with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Fabnik tries to keep at a distance but Kinney has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fabnik's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kinney decides to pull guard.

Kinney is working an open guard so Fabnik takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Fabnik lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fabnik takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Kinney wants to break free but Fabnik has control.

Fabnik prevents Kinney from breaking the clinch.

Kinney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kinney takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fabnik throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kinney blocks it with crossed arms.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kinney went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Fabnik has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Joh Fabnik seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Kinney has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fabnik uses from the top position.

Kinney has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Kinney jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fabnik walks away with a smile on his face. Kinney gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fabnik lands a big knee to the head and Kinney goes down! Fabnik pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joh Fabnik!
Joh Fabnik took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'How cold-blooded these killers may seem. The ice ax makes it through every cold.......'.
