Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murdo Douglass (ranked 5010 p4p, 507 weight class) and Misak Petrosyan (ranked 3598 p4p, 380 weight class). Douglass comes into the arena with Union Underground - Across The Nation blaring out of the sound system. Murdo Douglass is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Misak Petrosyan!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrosyan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Douglass paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Douglass misses with a body kick.

It looks like Murdo Douglass has been cut.
Petrosyan throws a lazy right hand but Douglass sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Petrosyan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Douglass has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Douglass and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Douglass appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Petrosyan sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Douglass looks to score with a jab to the body but Petrosyan is just out of range.

Douglass throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Petrosyan on the side of the head.

and Douglass connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Douglass bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Petrosyan's head.

A telegraphed right hand from Douglass misses the target.
Petrosyan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
