Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Macky Delen (ranked 6153 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atila Whelmberg (ranked 5911 p4p, 579 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whelmberg leaves Delen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Delen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Whelmberg manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Whelmberg throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Delen was covering up waiting for the punch and Whelmberg finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Whelmberg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Delen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Whelmberg forces his way into half guard.
Whelmberg is controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delen wants to control but Whelmberg is keeping busy.

Whelmberg uses his free foot to push down on Delen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Delen.
Whelmberg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Delen holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Whelmberg tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Delen is looking to get to half guard.
Delen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Whelmberg unloads with some shots from mount but Delen bucks and avoids them well.

Whelmberg is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Delen is forced to tap! Great finish!
