Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jacky Jackal (ranked 884 p4p, 92 weight class) and Louis Paterson (ranked 3605 p4p, 313 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jackal might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For Heavy Metal we will die!. Paterson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ce Fait Mal - La Founine. Jacky Jackal could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Louis Paterson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Louis Paterson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackal loads up on a big right hand but Paterson slips the punch.
Paterson looks like he wants to counter punch here.

The fighters circling - Paterson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Paterson connects with a right hand. Jackal shakes it off.
Paterson lands with a thumping leg kick.

Jackal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Paterson sprawls well initially but Jackal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackal connects with a nice short shot to Paterson's temple.
Paterson won't allow Jackal to pass to mount.
Jackal seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paterson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackal drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Paterson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jackal has Paterson in his guard.

Jackal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Paterson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Paterson is sitting in close to Jackal's body. Jackal has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Paterson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Paterson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jackal.

After the fight, Jacky Jackal was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
