The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Estevez sprawling to the canvas. Emelianenko follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Estevez hang on?


Estevez is rocked!


It looks like Raul Estevez has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Estevez wants to get back to his feet.
Estevez is still in real trouble! Can Emelianenko finish him?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Emelianenko in particular looking to stall.
Estevez seems to have recovered his senses.
Estevez is looking to escape.

Emelianenko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Estevez looks like he's trying to stand up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Estevez doesn't manage to clinch there - Emelianenko circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Emelianenko throws a combination. Estevez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Mirko Emelianenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Estevez throws a quick inside leg kick.
Estevez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Estevez shoots in and drives through. Emelianenko sprawls well.
Emelianenko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Estevez looks gassed!
Estevez slips a jab and a cross from Emelianenko.
Estevez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Estevez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Emelianenko is fending him off so far but Estevez persists. Nope, Emelianenko circles away and we're back to standing.
Emelianenko throws a series of punches but Estevez avoids them all with ease.
Emelianenko cracks Estevez with an open hand slap.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Estevez throws a head kick that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Estevez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Emelianenko drops Estevez with a big left hand and mounts him. Estevez is in big trouble!


Estevez is rocked!
Emelianenko controlling the pace for now.
Estevez is still in real trouble! Can Emelianenko finish him?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mirko Emelianenko dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Raul Estevez's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Emelianenko lands a nice shot to the body.
Estevez seems to have recovered his senses.
Emelianenko thuds a left hand into Estevez's body.
Estevez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Emelianenko to score with a decent uppercut.
A left lands for Emelianenko.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Emelianenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Emelianenko feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Estevez sprawling to the canvas! Estevez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Emelianenko finish him?!


Estevez is rocked!
Estevez circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Emelianenko. Estevez falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Emelianenko!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mirko Emelianenko!
