The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damballah connects with a body shot that sends Panos's belly button to the back.
Damballah misses with a straight left.
Nice uppercut lands for Damballah. That snapped Panos's head back.
Panos ducks under a wild hook from Damballah.
Panos let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Panos missing with a left hand there. Damballah was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Panos's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Damballah connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Panos scrambles back to his feet.
Damballah moves out of range of the strikes.
Damballah rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Panos counters with a one-two to the body.
Panos scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Panos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Panos cracks the inside of Damballah's front leg.

El Misterioso Damballah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Damballah moves out of range as Panos strikes.
Panos defending well as Damballah loads up on a big left hand.
Damballah misses with a series of wild punches.
Panos throws a right and a left that both miss.
Panos throws the left hand but Damballah avoids the punch easily.

Panos lands a left and a right that send Damballah crashing to the mat, dazed. Panos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Damballah is rocked!

It looks like El Misterioso Damballah has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Panos slips a jab from Damballah.
Oh Damballah is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Panos thows a left - swing and a miss!
It looked like Damballah wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Panos moves out of range of the strikes.
Damballah misses with a looping left.
Damballah seems to have got his legs back now.
Damballah fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Panos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A slow jab from Damballah misses its intended target.
Panos connects with a solid leg kick.
Nice straight punches there by Damballah. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Damballah.
Damballah cracks Panos with an open hand slap.
Panos throws the left hand but Damballah avoids the punch easily.

Panos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Damballah jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Damballah circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Panos to the canvas! Panos doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Damballah keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

In his post fight interview, El Misterioso Damballah started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
