The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Abbot, as that shot connected.

It looks like Carmelo Clark has been cut.
Clark fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Clark blocks a jab.
Clark avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Abbot lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Abbot fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Clark looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Abbot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Clark circles away quickly and effectively.

Abbot drops Clark with a beautiful combination! Clark stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Abbot is looking for the KO!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Abbot lands with a good body shot.
Oh Clark is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Casper Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abbot throws an uppercut from hell that sends Clark clean off his feet! He's out cold! Abbot stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
