Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Skinner (ranked 7927 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Havasu (ranked 20536 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Skinner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Havasu!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havasu throws a one two combo.
Havasu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Skinner manages to avoid it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Skinner.
Havasu stalks Skinner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Skinner's face. Skinner staggers backwards, shaken.
Skinner checks a low kick from Havasu.
Skinner really is a fat lump.
Havasu swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Skinner tries to sprawl but Havasu drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Havasu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Skinner knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Skinner is looking to improve his position.
Havasu takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Skinner won't allow Havasu to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Havasu chips away with some ground and pound.
Havasu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Skinner wants to stand up but Havasu is controlling him.

Havasu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Skinner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Havasu is aware though and is defending well.

Skinner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Havasu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Havasu gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Havasu prevents Skinner from breaking the clinch.
Skinner is trying to force a seperation but Havasu has the dominant position.
Skinner wants to break free but Havasu has control.
Skinner tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Havasu just stands there and leans against the cage.
Skinner on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Havasu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fight stays on the outside here - Havasu looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Skinner looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Havasu throws a low kick, looking for Skinner's leg but Skinner calmly moves out of range.
Havasu scores with the left hand. Skinner knows he should have avoided that one.
Skinner fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Havasu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Skinner was well out of range. Poor timing from Havasu.

Havasu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Skinner is trying to defend but Havasu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Havasu throws a low kick, looking for Skinner's leg but Skinner calmly moves out of range.

Mike Havasu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Havasu swings for the body but Skinner moves out of range.
Skinner takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Havasu leaves Skinner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Skinner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Skinner lands in his opponent's guard.
Skinner is standing up over Havasu. Havasu looks to escape but Skinner dives into side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Havasu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Skinner not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Havasu avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Skinner.
Havasu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Skinner is keen to just control but Havasu is a slippery customer.
Havasu wants to stand back up but Skinner manages to pass into side control.

Skinner tries to score with some ground and pound. Havasu controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Havasu wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Havasu is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Skinner off and has taken his back!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Havasu looking for the choke from the back.
Havasu gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Skinner is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Skinner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Havasu lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Havasu controlling the positon.

Havasu slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Skinner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Havasu.
Skinner fires out a quick counter leg kick but Havasu just manages to avoid it.

Havasu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Havasu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Douglas Skinner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mike Havasu is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Havasu looks to land a body kick but Skinner moved away.
Skinner feinted there with a counter leg kick.

I would just about give that final round to Mike Havasu.
Well Havasu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
