I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Raqaun Shaw was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raqaun Shaw!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shaw pulls his head out easily.
Shaw slips a nice elbow through Williams's hands, connecting with Williams's forehead.

Shaw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shaw has managed to get both his arms back between Williams's legs - danger averted.

Williams is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Shaw rolls with it to try and escape but Williams cranks on the arm and Shaw is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Pat Williams was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
