The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Senior walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Maradona checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Diego Maradona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maradona misses the shot to the body.
Maradona fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Maradona misses with an uppercut. Senior saw that one coming.
Senior on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Maradona throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Senior looking to score a takedown here. Maradona is defending well but Senior drives through and ends up in Maradona's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Senior accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Maradona really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Senior. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Senior is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Maradona.
Maradona scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Senior shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maradona as he avoids it easily.
A nice side step and Maradona releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Senior looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maradona is fending him off so far but Senior persists. Nope, Maradona circles away and we're back to standing.

Maradona fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Senior looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Maradona takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Maradona closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Maradona punishes Senior's body with a nice straight punch.
Oh Senior is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maradona connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Senior tumbling to the canvas! Maradona pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Senior was done - good stoppage!
