The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plezts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Plezts gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Plezts is looking for a kimura but Leroux is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Plezts to get the leverage.
Leroux is not content to let Plezts control the position.

Plezts is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Leroux is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Leroux is staying active underneath Plezts, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Plezts seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Plezts is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Leroux is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
