The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vetchnikov pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nice combo by Vetchnikov! Oh, that's hurt him - Meatbrick falls to the canvas and Vetchnikov follows him into side control.
It looks like Rock Meatbrick has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Meatbrick is trying to improve his position.

Meatbrick tries to bench press Vetchnikov off him but Vetchnikov keeps the position.
Meatbrick sneaks back into half guard.

Meatbrick has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vetchnikov is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vetchnikov stalling away here and it's allowed Meatbrick to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Meatbrick throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vetchnikov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Vetchnikov steps into range and cracks Meatbrick with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Meatbrick flops backwards and Vetchnikov dives into his guard looking to finish!
Meatbrick is rocked!

Meatbrick wants to sweep but no luck.
Meatbrick lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vetchnikov!

Meatbrick with shots to the head and body - Vetchnikov looks very uncomfortable down there.
Meatbrick unloads with some shots from mount but Vetchnikov bucks and avoids them well.

Vetchnikov holds on for dear life, controlling Meatbrick's posture momentarily.

Vetchnikov is in a horrible position here. Meatbrick smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Vetchnikov holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Meatbrick tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Meatbrick sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vetchnikov avoids a series of strikes thrown by Meatbrick.
Vetchnikov is squirming around, avoiding Meatbrick's attempts to control the action.
Meatbrick misses with a head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Vetchnikov dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rock Meatbrick's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Vetchnikov thuds his right hand into Meatbrick's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Meatbrick shoots in but Vetchnikov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Meatbrick slips a straight right by Vetchnikov.
Meatbrick showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vetchnikov.
Meatbrick moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vetchnikov cracks Meatbrick with a good jab.
Horrible takedown by Meatbrick or perhaps it was just good defense by Vetchnikov which made him look bad.
Vetchnikov lands with a straight right. Meatbrick didn't see that one coming.
A big right from Vetchnikov misses.
Meatbrick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Alex Vetchnikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rock Meatbrick.

Vetchnikov is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Meatbrick hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
