Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson darts in and clinches Hughes up against the cage.
Ferguson pulls guard.
Hughes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hughes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ferguson's head.
Hughes with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferguson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Ferguson jumps guard but Hughes stands there with Ferguson around his waist. Ferguson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hughes wants the takedown. Ferguson is fighting it off but Hughes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ferguson's guard against the cage.
Ferguson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Hughes drives through and clinches with Ferguson against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hughes looking to sit in guard and control but Ferguson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ferguson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hughes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ferguson has Hughes in his guard.
Ferguson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ferguson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Ferguson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Hughes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hughes is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ferguson is hurt! He's hurt bad - Hughes fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ferguson from any more punishment! Congratulations to Hughes! Great finish!
