Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eugenio Dillon (ranked 5920 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Thawn (ranked 5919 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Thawn!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thawn shoots in and drives through. Dillon sprawls well.
Thawn shoots in looking for a takedown but Dillon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thawn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dillon lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Dillon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dillon is looking to work some ground and pound but Thawn has wrist control.

Dillon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Thawn to the ground. Dillon is now in Thawn's guard.

Dillon looks up at the clock and then as Thawn takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dillon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dillon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thawn drives through and clinches with Dillon against the cage.

Dillon has gone for a leg lock! Thawn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dillon's guard.

Dillon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thawn defends it nicely.
Dillon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Dillon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Thawn is looking to stand up but Dillon isn't so interested in that idea.
