Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Levi Hatfield (ranked 24485 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Miller (ranked 3845 p4p, 394 weight class). Greg Miller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Levi Hatfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Miller!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miller gets a clinch.

Miller gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hatfield regains guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hatfield is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Miller is controlling him.
Miller passes Hatfield's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hatfield is positioning himself well to prevent Miller advancing to mount.
Hatfield is staying active underneath Miller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hatfield kicks off Miller and gets to his feet.
Miller throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Hatfield gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miller to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hatfield wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Miller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hatfield is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miller, into his guard.

Hatfield lands a couple of digs.
Hatfield might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hatfield not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hatfield decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Miller, up you get!

Hatfield moves away from the strike by Miller.

Hatfield shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Hatfield stands and steps away. Miller gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hatfield misses with a takedown attempt - Miller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hatfield tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Miller swivels and escapes.
Miller tries to counter by closing the distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miller shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hatfield has one foot on Miller's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Greg Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hatfield darts in and clinches Miller up against the cage.

Hatfield pulls guard successfully.
Hatfield wants to get back to his feet but Miller is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Miller tries to stand but Hatfield is controlling from the bottom.
Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Hatfield is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hatfield uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Levi Hatfield dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hatfield fails to land the takedown.

Hatfield shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Miller napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hatfield is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Miller can do to turn this around?
Hatfield controls the position.
Hatfield throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Hatfield goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Miller has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hatfield but great work by Miller.

Miller tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Miller has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hatfield avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Miller.

Miller wants to stand but Hatfield has his arm trapped.
Hatfield trying his best to control but Miller has mounted him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hatfield tries to hold on but Miller postures up.
Hatfield is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hatfield somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Nice sprawl there from Miller as Hatfield shoots in.

Hatfield feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hatfield throws an elbow that misses. Miller uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hatfield's guard. Nice move by Miller!

Hatfield has his feet on Miller's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Hatfield could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hatfield scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Miller pushes Hatfield off but Hatfield dives into side control.
A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hatfield postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hatfield staying calm.
You can see the frustration on Miller's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Miller is looking for a sweep.
Miller is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Miller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hatfield has hold of Miller's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Miller seems comfortable defending it but Hatfield has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Miller is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Miller is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hatfield couldn't care less - he's delighted!
