Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Layko Madnaugh!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Madnaugh drives through with a takedown into Zalac's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Zalac looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Madnaugh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

It looks like Madnaugh might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ground and pound from Madnaugh seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Madnaugh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zalac but Zalac pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Zalac is looking to counter punch.

That's time! Zalac's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Madnaugh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Alen Zalac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zalac circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zalac was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Zalac tries to close the distance and clinch up but Madnaugh swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Madnaugh goes for a double leg but Zalac avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Zalac continues to drive forward.

Madnaugh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zalac swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Madnaugh shoots for a takedown but Zalac saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Zalac swats away the attempt to clinch by Madnaugh.

Madnaugh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zalac sprawls well initially but Madnaugh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Zalac pushes Madnaugh off but Madnaugh dives into side control.
Zalac seems a little lost for a moment, as Madnaugh dominates the positioning.
