Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hickson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mob Barley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Barley misses with a few strikes there.
Barley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Barley tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Barley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Barley is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Barley's back instead.
Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Barley stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Barley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Barley stalks Silva and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Silva's face. Silva staggers backwards, shaken.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barley's waist but Barley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Barley fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Barley, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Barley against the cage but Barley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Barley misses with the combination.
Barley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Barley, who protects the arm well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Barley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
