Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Wade (ranked 2891 p4p, 369 weight class) and John Tarley (ranked 2196 p4p, 297 weight class). Wade comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - Hail Mary. John Tarley is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Tarley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarley scores with the left hand. Wade knows he should have avoided that one.

Wade drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tarley pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tarley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wade was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Tarley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Wade is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tarley can't fight it off and eventually Wade manages to take the fight to the floor. Tarley looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wade drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tarley dives on top into guard.


Wade escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tarley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Wade is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wade is looking to take a break and control but Tarley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tarley is looking for a sweep. Wade is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tarley is defending against the submission attempts here by Wade.

Wade wants to work for an arm triangle but Tarley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Josh Wade overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wade is looking for a kimura but Tarley is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wade to get the leverage.

Tarley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tarley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Wade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wade closes the distance and clinches up with Tarley, looking for a takedown. Wade pushes Tarley against the cage but Tarley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

John Tarley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
