Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Gusmao (ranked 7312 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Ancheese (ranked 6776 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ancheese misses with an uppercut
and Gusmao counters by moving into the clinch.
Gusmao misses with a body punch.
Gusmao keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ancheese's efforts to push away.
Gusmao throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ancheeses head.
Gusmao tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ancheese's elbow.
Ancheese breaks the clinch.
Henrique Gusmao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gusmao fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ancheese, pushing him back against the cage.
Ancheese tries to break free but Gusmao pushes him back against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gusmao keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ancheese pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gusmao back to the cage. Ancheese follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Ancheese swats away the attempt to clinch by Gusmao.
Ancheese replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Gusmao blocks it well.

Both fighters circling a little - Ancheese finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Gusmao fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Gusmao lands a jab to the nose.
Gusmao takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Gusmao takes the fight into the clinch.
Ancheese manages to break the clinch.
Gusmao dodges the punch combination from Ancheese.
Gusmao lands a slapping body shot.
We've been told by Gusmao's head coaches at Kevin Spacey's House of Squats & Grabs that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gusmao scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gusmao finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Ancheese's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Gusmao falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mac Ancheese!
