Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leroy Doyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doyle gets a takedown into half guard.

Doyle is working for an americana but Tyson has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Doyle was thinking about the submission.
Tyson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Doyle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Doyle gets to his feet - Tyson follows without any prompting.

Doyle drives through with a takedown into Tyson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Doyle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Doyle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tyson is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doyle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Tyson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Doyle is controlling him.

Tyson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tyson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doyle has escaped the position, nice work there.
Doyle tries to buck Tyson off but Tyson is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Doyle is trying to escape the position but Tyson is controlling the position.

Tyson is looking to take a break and control but Doyle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tyson is trying to get an arm triangle but Doyle is defending well.
Tyson looks winded!
Doyle wants to control but Tyson postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tyson moves into full mount!
Tyson tries to control but Doyle wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Doyle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tyson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tyson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Doyle napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Tyson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Doyle's half guard.

Tyson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tyson is taking a breather. Doyle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Doyle preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Tyson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Doyle gets tackled into the cage by Tyson. Tyson maintains the clinch.
Tyson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Doyle.
Tyson is looking to control Doyle's arms but Doyle gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tyson has his back to the cage.

Tyson successfully pulls guard.
Doyle won't allow Tyson to sweep him here.

Doyle stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Doyle tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tyson is able to avoid easily.
Tyson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Doyle.
Tyson is breathing heavily.
Tyson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Doyle dives in for a single leg takedown but Tyson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Tyson steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Doyle.

Doyle gets tackled into the cage by Tyson. Tyson maintains the clinch.

Doyle manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Tyson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tyson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doyle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tyson defends well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson cracks Doyle with a solid left hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Doyle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tyson controls the pace.

Mike Tyson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Tyson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doyle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Tyson is pressing down on Doyle's thigh, looking to free his foot. Doyle is holding on for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tyson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Doyle darts in looking for a takedown but Tyson gets double underhooks and turns Doyle into the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tyson tries to clinch but Doyle is having none of it.
Tyson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And Doyle counters with a quick kick to the body but Tyson blocks it.
Tyson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tyson wants to clinch.

Doyle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tyson sprawls well initially but Doyle persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Doyle is looking for submissions but instead, Tyson has regained full guard.
Tyson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mike Tyson has got the better of the ground game so far.

Doyle has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tyson wants to control from the top but Doyle keeps moving.
Tyson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Doyle pulls Tyson in close to prevent any damage.
Tyson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Mike Tyson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Tyson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
