Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 51 - 63 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Hughs!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose goes for a double leg but Hughs avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hughs continues to drive forward.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rose.
Hughs was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Rose keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hughs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rose.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Rose. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rose shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hughs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rose slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hughs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Rose has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hughs defend it? Rose steps over the head and cranks it - Hughs is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rose!
