The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris thuds a left hand into Michaels's body.
Michaels looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morris is fending him off so far but Michaels persists. Nope, Morris circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Morris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Michaels changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Michaels shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Morris's guard.
Michaels is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Morris is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morris gets control of Michaels's arms and successfully pulls guard. Morris will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Michaels tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michaels is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Morris won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Michaels off his unconscious opponent!
