Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pavlo Bilous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jontte Man!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bilous closes the distance and pushes Man back into the cage.

Bilous is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Man can't fight it off and eventually Bilous manages to take the fight to the floor. Man looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bilous in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bilous landing with the ground and pound.
Bilous keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Man's head.

Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bilous gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Man working for submissions but it's allowed Bilous to get to half guard.
Man is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bilous not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bilous missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Bilous lands strikes from half guard.

Man actively working from the bottom here.

Man looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bilous takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bilous landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Man wants to control but Bilous is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bilous working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Bilous wants to work for an arm triangle but Man is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bilous looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Man with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bilous takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Man actively working from the bottom here.
Bilous tries to pass the half guard into mount. Man knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bilous trying to control from half guard but Man is working away.
Man wants to get back to full guard.
Bilous is looking to take a break and control but Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Man looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bilous is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Man on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Man is looking to improve his position.
Man moves into full guard.
Bilous throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bilous chips away with some ground and pound.
Bilous with a flurry of punches that miss.

Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bilous doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bilous manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Man is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bilous postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Man preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bilous throws a big elbow that misses.
Bilous working some strikes from top position.
Bilous working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Man looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bilous with a nice head shot there.


Man is rocked!
Bilous chips away with some ground and pound.
Man is still in real trouble! Can Bilous finish him?
Bilous makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Bilous postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Man covers up, he's hurt! Bilous keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bilous and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bilous can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pavlo Bilous!
Pavlo Bilous very nearly forgot to thank RAGS of a RONIN amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
