PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artimus Angar (ranked 3863 p4p, 471 weight class) and Arvo Laar (ranked 5352 p4p, 607 weight class). Laar has chosen some random 90's estonia dance song i found on youtube as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Artimus Angar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arvo Laar!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laar motions for Angar to come forward. Laar throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Laar cracks the inside of Angar's front leg.
Laar throws a leg kick that is checked

and Angar counters with a crisp one two that drops Laar! Angar thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Laar to his feet! Laar is in big trouble!
Laar tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Angar is able to avoid easily.
Laar scores with a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Laar misses with a jab to the body
and Angar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Angar drops Laar with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Laar looks back up at him and smiles so Angar waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Laar is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Laar attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Angar swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Laar is still on wobbly legs! Can Angar finish him?
Angar throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Laar does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Laar seems to have recovered his senses.
Laar wants to slow Angar down by chopping away at his legs.
Laar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laar throws a right and a left that Angar avoids nicely.
Angar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Laar misses with a low kick.
No joy there for Angar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Angar tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Laar avoids a punch combination nicely.
A nice inside leg kick there by Laar. That's going to slow Angar down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Angar throws a head kick that misses.
Laar is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Angar with a body shot.
Angar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Laar moves away.
Laar throws a head kick but Angar moves out of range.
Laar swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Angar is looking for a counter combo.
Laar throws a leg kick which misses Angar's front leg but catches the back leg as Angar tries to avoid it.
Laar tried to score with a low kick but Angar checks it.
Some bone on bone action there as Angar checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Angar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Laar wants to land a leg kick but Angar is out of range.
Laar throws a body punch but Angar moves out of range.
Laar throws a sloppy head kick and Angar moves out of range easily.

Angar lands a left and a right that send Laar crashing to the mat, dazed. Angar thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Arvo Laar has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laar throws a leg kick that is checked
and Angar counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Laar off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Angar follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Laar was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Artimus Angar!
Artimus Angar spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
