Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Quentin DeBramalo (ranked 703 p4p, 35 weight class) and Ricardo Monteban (ranked 714 p4p, 36 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Quentin DeBramalo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Quentin DeBramalo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

DeBramalo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Monteban looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Monteban gets cracked there but stands up to it.
DeBramalo misses with an attempted mid kick.

Monteban shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Monteban lands a nice short elbow.

My spies in The Coffee Shop inform me that Monteban has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Monteban working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DeBramalo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DeBramalo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
