Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grabstrong Stranglegod (ranked 6090 p4p, 554 weight class) and Taga Lampshade (ranked 6517 p4p, 582 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stranglegod might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to No Love. Lampshade is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Purple Rain. Taga Lampshade will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lampshade wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Stranglegod gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lampshade tries to land a knee to the head but Stranglegod blocks with his arms.
Stranglegod is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lampshade is defending well.

Lampshade drags the fight down to the ground.
Lampshade wants to get back to his feet but Stranglegod is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lampshade is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stranglegod has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Lampshade tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lampshade wants to stand and escape but Stranglegod is having none of it.
Stranglegod stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lampshade swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lampshade is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stranglegod is aware though and is defending well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Stranglegod is stalling here. Lampshade is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stranglegod seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lampshade has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Lampshade looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lampshade stalling away here and it's allowed Stranglegod to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Stranglegod is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lampshade must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lampshade is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stranglegod is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stranglegod has escaped and now he's on top!

A close round but Taga Lampshade will probably get the nod.
That's time! Stranglegod's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Stranglegod clinches up with Lampshade and pushes him back against the ropes.

Stranglegod tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lampshade smiles and moves away.
Stranglegod throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lampshade tries to clinch up but Stranglegod circles away and keeps his distance.

Lampshade darts in and clinches Stranglegod up against the ropes.

Lampshade fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stranglegod.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Taga Lampshade showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Lampshade has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
