Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jarkko Rautavaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kayaki Chonin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chonin has chosen Fedor Entrance Song as his entrance music. Kayaki Chonin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jarkko Rautavaara's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jarkko Rautavaara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kayaki Chonin!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rautavaara slips a jab and a cross from Chonin.
Chonin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rautavaara paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rautavaara misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chonin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Chonin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rautavaara to the mat! Rautavaara manages to get full guard.
Rautavaara has control of Chonin's left arm, preventing Chonin from doing any damage.

Chonin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rautavaara dives on top into guard.

Rautavaara wanted to stand there but Chonin had control of the position.
Rautavaara with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Chonin is looking for a triangle but Rautavaara pushes his legs off easily.

Rautavaara wants to pass the guard but Chonin is keeping the position.

Chonin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rautavaara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Chonin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rautavaara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rautavaara content to stall in guard here.

Chonin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Chonin looks gassed!
Chonin wants to sweep here but Rautavaara controlling him for the moment.
Rautavaara trying to control the position from guard on top but Chonin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Chonin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rautavaara is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Chonin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rautavaara's back instead.

Chonin is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Rautavaara breaks Chonin's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rautavaara forces his way into half guard.
Chonin is in trouble now - Rautavaara has advanced to mount!

Rautavaara is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chonin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Chonin is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rautavaara punishing his opponent with strikes.
Rautavaara breaks from Chonin's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Rautavaara lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rautavaara wants to control the pace but Chonin is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kayaki Chonin dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Chonin misses with a series of wild punches.
A combination from Rautavaara does no damage.
Rautavaara scores with a jab. Chonin acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jarkko Rautavaara is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rautavaara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rautavaara throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rautavaara moves forwards but Chonin connects with a nice, crisp jab.
No luck for Rautavaara with that takedown attempt.
A nice combination there by Rautavaara.
Chonin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chonin has his takedown stuffed
and Rautavaara counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rautavaara takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Chonin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rautavaara tries to avoid it but Chonin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rautavaara to the ground. Rautavaara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chonin throws a sloppy head kick and Rautavaara moves out of range easily.
Chonin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Chonin shoots and misses
and Rautavaara counters with a nice kick to the body.
Jarkko Rautavaara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kayaki Chonin.

Rautavaara forces Chonin back against the cage and clinches.
Chonin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rautavaara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rautavaara doesn't manage to clinch there - Chonin circles away.
Chonin avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Chonin tries for a takedown but Rautavaara circles away easily

and Rautavaara counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rautavaara.

Rautavaara is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Chonin can't fight it off and eventually Rautavaara manages to take the fight to the floor. Chonin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Oh but Chonin is tightening it up a little... Rautavaara has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rautavaara reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rautavaara taps out! nice BJJ there by Chonin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Kayaki Chonin!
