The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bahati feints and as The raises his hands in defense, Bahati changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bahati decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on The, up you get!
Freddy The seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The misses with a takedown

and Bahati holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bahati decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Bahati pushes past his half guard into mount!
Bahati takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bahati will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bahati knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The on the ground.
The wants to improve his position but Bahati is controlling well.
Bahati is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bahati looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bahati shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bahati was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bahati tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The is trying to escape the mount.
Bahati takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bahati is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. The can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Bahati lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bahati looking to control and managing it successfully.
The is desperately trying to improve his position but Bahati has a good base and remains in mount.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Bahati moves into the clinch successfully.
The is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Bahati has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but The regains guard immediately.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bahati breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bahati shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Yannick Bahati overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bahati is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! The is forced to tap! Great finish!
