Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marlo Stanfield (ranked 1175 p4p, 159 weight class) and Jack Patton (ranked 892 p4p, 124 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stanfield might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Legendary. The crowd seem to be enjoying Patton's choice of entrance music: Barasuara - Api dan Lentera. Jack Patton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanfield slips under a jab.
Stanfield throws a left and a right that both miss
and Patton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Stanfield lands with a nice body punch.
Stanfield throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Patton.
Patton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stanfield throws a lazy right hand but Patton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Patton scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Patton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stanfield has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stanfield is rocked!
Patton cracks Stanfield with a right hand to the side of the head.
Oh Stanfield is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Patton appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stanfield crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Patton - the referee stops the clock and Stanfield gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Patton. Stanfield manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Stanfield seems to have got his legs back now.

and Stanfield counters with a crisp one two that drops Patton! Stanfield thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Patton to his feet! Patton is in big trouble!
Patton is rocked!
Patton switches off momentarily and Stanfield cracks him with a monster right hand! Patton topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Stanfield dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Stanfield!
