The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Yorick does no damage.
Jackson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Jackson has Yorick up against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Yorick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jackson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Yorick is trying to keep an underhook but Jackson manages to get the takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson drops an elbow to the side of Yorick's head.

Yorick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Yorick could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jackson throwing shots but Yorick is blocking nicely.
Jackson is nestled in close to Yorick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yorick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

It looks like Tim Jackson has been cut.

Yorick went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Yorick lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jackson looks winded!

Yorick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jackson doesn't seem bothered though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jackson is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yorick pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Yorick has a good base and remains in mount.

Jackson tries to lock up and control but Yorick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yorick avoids the attempt from Jackson to control.
Yorick postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.
Yorick throws a sloppy strike and Jackson uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Jackson has ended up in Yorick's guard.
Jackson won't allow Yorick to sweep him here.

Yorick rushes Jackson and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Jackson is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Yorick piles on the pressure and Jackson crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
