Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hartley Stone!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Topper Green and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Silva has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Arvins Bootcamp in the buildup to the fight.
Stone leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stone has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Stone tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stone is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silva is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Stone to the mat. Stone regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Stone uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Stone tightens his grip and picks Silva up, before dumping him to the ground. Silva manages to land in guard.

Stone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Stone manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Stone wants to break free but Silva has control.
Stone wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Silva lands a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stone wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.

Silva postures up in Stone's guard and throws a big left but Stone blocks it.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silva seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Stone looks winded!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Stone on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

A relieved looking Jon Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
