The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pe de Ferro is looking to slow Souza down with leg kicks.
Souza misses with a wild combination.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Souza throws a lazy right hand but Pe de Ferro sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pe de Ferro shoots in looking for a takedown. Souza tries to sprawl out of it but Pe de Ferro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Souza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
