PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ophelius Ragnar (ranked 9152 p4p, 747 weight class) and Taivon Arsett (ranked 23981 p4p, 798 weight class). Arsett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. MGK- Till I die kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ragnar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Arsett wants to stand back up but Ragnar manages to pass into side control.
Ragnar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arsett keeps working.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arsett can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Arsett is trying to stick to Ragnar's back but Ragnar is turning into Arsett. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Arsett's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ragnar.

Arsett wants to reverse the position here. Ragnar has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Arsett is forced to tap! Arsett looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
