And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freud goes for a double leg but Bailey avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bailey continues to drive forward.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Freud controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sam Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freud looks for a takedown but Bailey sprawls well.

Bailey rushes Freud and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bailey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bailey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freud seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Freud drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Freud jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Freud seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bailey for as long as he can get away with.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bailey can do anything to dispel that myth.

Freud is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bailey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Freud.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Freud connects with a nice short shot to Bailey's temple.

Bailey has hold of Freud's hands but Freud slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bailey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Freud. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Freud is landing with some decent strikes but Bailey is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
