Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Gong!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bowers as he jumps to the side.
Gong lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Lowell Bowers has been cut.

Gong moves into the clinch.
Bowers doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Bowers tries to clinch up.

Bowers tries to keep at a distance but Gong has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bowers jumps guard but Gong stands there with Bowers around his waist. Bowers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bowers seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

and Bowers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bowers tries to clinch up but Gong circles away and keeps his distance.
Bowers dives in for a single leg takedown but Gong sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bowers gets to his feet. Gong looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Bob Gong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bowers fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gong, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gong tries to close the distance and clinch but Bowers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bowers is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
