The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bells pushes Knight away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Knight gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight lands an elbow.
Bells is trying to control Knight's posture but Knight avoids it.

Knight could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
You can see the frustration on Bells's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Knight is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bells can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Knight postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bells looks a forlorn figure.

Knight loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Bells scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Knight land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Knight stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leo Knight!
