Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Compostela misses with a hook. Meyers ducked under it nicely.
Meyers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Compostela's waist but Compostela gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Meyers off to one side.
Meyers scoring well with a low kick there.
Compostela gets a double leg takedown into Meyers's guard.
Meyers not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Compostela is in close to Meyers's body, working some short punches and elbows.

It looks like Compostela might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Meyers tries to kick Compostela off but Compostela keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Compostela takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Meyers wants to get back to his feet.

Meyers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Compostela fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Compostela is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Meyers to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Meyers shrugs it off.
Oh Meyers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Compostela wants to finish this one by submission but Meyers is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Compostela.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Compostela postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Meyers badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Compostela around the waist but Compostela pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Compostela is the winner by TKO! Compostela jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fabricio Compostela!
