Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Finch (ranked 25112 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chico Doido (ranked 5862 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lawrence Finch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chico Doido!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doido has managed to clinch.

Doido escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Finch moves into range and clinches up with Doido.
Finch wants a takedown.
Finch keeps control of Doido as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Finch manages to pull guard.
Finch pulls Doido in to control the position.
Finch looking for a sweep. Not yet Finch, not yet.
Doido wants to control from the top but Finch keeps moving.
Doido must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Finch connects with a nice short shot to Doido's temple.
Doido wants to improve his position but Finch is controlling well.

Finch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Doido really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Finch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Doido escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Finch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Finch postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Doido is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Finch, into his guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Finch drops back looking for a leg! Doido is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Doido manages to kick Finch off! Finch jumps back into Doido's guard.

Finch lands a couple of elbows.
Finch passes into half guard.

Finch looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Doido throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Finch was covering up waiting for the punch and Doido finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Doido has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Finch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Finch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
