The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ludo Wayland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kasugi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wayland swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wayland isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kasugi stacks Wayland on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kasugi!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wayland shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kasugi as he avoids it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kasugi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kasugi manages to capitalize on a mistake by Wayland to take his back!

Sho Kasugi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Wayland will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Wayland swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kasugi is now in Wayland's guard. A big mistake from Wayland there, giving up the dominant position!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well Kasugi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
