Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Boskins (ranked 3294 p4p, 114 weight class) and Lucas Lodano (ranked 3609 p4p, 124 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lodano thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lodano is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lodano throws the left hand but Boskins avoids the punch easily.
Boskins has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA LA Elite in the buildup to the fight.
Lodano bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Boskins's head backwards.
Lodano catches Boskins with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Boskins turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Boskins manages to end up in side control.

Lodano sneaks out the side door and pushes Boskins away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boskins needs to keep his hands up - Lodano had a free shot at his head there.

Boskins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

A nice side step and Lodano releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Lodano sends Boskins crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lodano is motioning to the referee to let Boskins up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Boskins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lodano lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Boskins up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Lodano from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Boskins's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
