The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sky misses with a combination

and Bowles counters by moving into the clinch.
Bowles lands an uppercut.
Bowles lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

It looks like Tangerine Sky has been cut.
Sky is trying to stall.
Bowles digs a right hand into Sky's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sky's gas tank.
Sky tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bowles just stands there and leans against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sky is trying to push Bowles away but Bowles has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sky jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bowles walks away with a smile on his face. Sky gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Tangerine Sky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sky moves into the clinch.
Bowles presses Sky against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Bowles lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sky or not.
Bowles lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Bowles stalls.
Bowles content to slow the pace in the clinch.
The crowd are getting on Bowles 's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Sky tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The referee calls for Bowles to work.

Sky manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bowles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bowles stands and steps away. Sky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Oooooh!!! Bowles has knocked Sky down with a huge combo! Bowles steps away and waves a wobbly Sky back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sky is defended easily by Bowles .
Bowles cracks Sky on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Sky falls backwards against the cage. Bowles follows up with more strikes that drop Sky to his knees. Bowles keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Sky! This one is all over!
