Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Simon Kurken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trigga Fingle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Kurken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trigga Fingle!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fingle tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kurken is able to avoid easily.
A head kick misses from Kurken.

Kurken has managed to clinch.

Kurken's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kurken throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fingle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kurken as he jumps to the side.
Kurken looks to land a body kick but Fingle moved away.
Fingle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kurken's waist but Kurken gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fingle off to one side.
Fingle shoots in but Kurken avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Simon Kurken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trigga Fingle.
A head kick misses from Kurken.
Fingle throws a head kick that misses.
Fingle is looking to clinch but Kurken is avoiding it.
Kurken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kurken throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fingle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kurken lands with a kick to the ribs.

It looks like Trigga Fingle has been cut.
Kurken tries to free his leg and advance position but Fingle is retaining full guard.
Fingle is still in real trouble! Can Kurken finish him?

Fingle seems to have recovered his senses.

Kurken decides to stand back up. Kurken steps back and let's Fingle get back to his feet.
Kurken circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kurken throws a sloppy head kick and Fingle moves out of range easily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kurken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kurken looks to land a body kick but Fingle moved away.
Kurken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fingle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kurken throws a sloppy head kick and Fingle moves out of range easily.
Kurken throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fingle's head.
Kurken misses the shot to the body.
Kurken plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Kurken stuffs the takedown attempt from Fingle. Fingle gets slowly back to his feet.

Kurken moves into range and clinches up with Fingle.

Kurken is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fingle can't fight it off and eventually Kurken manages to take the fight to the floor. Fingle looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kurken is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kurken is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fingle moves out of range of the body kick.
Kurken throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fingle sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kurken has managed to clinch.

Kurken turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Fingle is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kurken is controlling him well.
Fingle stops Kurken from passing to mount.
Kurken has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Fingle!
Fingle wants to hold on but Kurken pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kurken controlling the position easily from mount.
Fingle tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kurken has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Fingle shoots in for a takedown but Kurken shows good takedown defense.

Kurken rushes Fingle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kurken tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kurken has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kurken has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fingle tries to get back to half guard but can't.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Fingle shoots in looking for a takedown. Kurken tries to sprawl out of it but Fingle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kurken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fingle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kurken tries to avoid it but Fingle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kurken to the ground. Kurken escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kurken turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kurken manages to end up in side control.

Kurken is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fingle can do to turn this around?
Kurken works to advance to full mount. Fingle defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
