The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scedary has closed the distance and engaged Liebknecht in a clinch.
Scedary tries to pull guard but Liebknecht forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Liebknecht lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Scedary backwards.

Liebknecht seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
A right handed body shot lands from Liebknecht.

Scedary throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Liebknecht blocks it with crossed arms.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scedary has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Liebknecht uses from the top position.

Liebknecht got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scedary has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liebknecht has managed to get both his arms back between Scedary's legs - danger averted.

We've been told by Liebknecht's head coaches at Stratosphere that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A nice left hand lands by Liebknecht.
Liebknecht creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Scedary's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Scedary drops to his knees and Liebknecht pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
