Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thanh Ramsey (ranked 7492 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Luis (ranked 6533 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thanh Ramsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luis Luis!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luis pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ramsey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Luis Luis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ramsey feints and as Luis raises his hands in defense, Ramsey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ramsey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Luis on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Luis pulls guard.

and Ramsey counters with a three punch combo that has Luis backing up. Luis nods at Ramsey to acknowledge the strikes.

Ramsey tries to pull guard but Luis holds him up against the cage and eventually Ramsey drops back down to his feet.

Luis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Thanh Ramsey will probably get the nod.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ramsey takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Luis looks to land a left hand but Ramsey moved out of range nicely.
It looked like Ramsey was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Luis.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Luis engages and cracks Ramsey with a massive lead left hook - Ramsey tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Luis is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luis Luis!
