The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moraes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Moraes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Black circles away quickly and effectively.
Black changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Moraes misses with a few strikes there.
Black tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Moraes creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Black sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
