Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Grason (ranked 8678 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Herman (ranked 5916 p4p, 0 weight class). Cedric Herman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jason Grason's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grason keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circling - Herman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Grason quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Grason shoots in looking for a takedown. Herman tries to sprawl out of it but Grason keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Herman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grason drops back looking for a leg! Herman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Herman manages to kick Grason off! Grason jumps back into Herman's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Grason drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Herman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Grason has Herman in his guard.

Grason has his foot on Herman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Herman works his way back into a safe position though.
Grason tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Grason escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Herman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Grason might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Grason is trying to keep Herman in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Herman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grason, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
