The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

It looks like Tony Fry has been cut.
A swing and a miss from Hall .
Hall scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fry doesn't seem bothered though.
Hall ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hall wants to clinch up but Fry keeps it at a distance.
Fry swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Fry throws a lazy head kick
and Hall counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Vincenzo Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fry looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've been hearing reports that Fry has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Fry dives in and grabs Hall 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hall pushes down on Fry's head and hops out.

Hall ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Hall throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fry stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You can see the frustration on Fry's face as Hall controls the position.

Fry is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hall .
Hall now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hall throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hall connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Tony Fry's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Hall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Fry is wriggling around but Hall manages to pass to half guard.

Hall winds up and cracks Fry with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Fry moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hall misses the shot to the body.
Fry throws a big counter combination but Hall scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Hall drops Fry with a big left hand and mounts him. Fry is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hall lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fry hang on?

Jeez, Tony Fry's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tony Fry's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
