The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira tries to clinch up but Darko circles away and keeps his distance.

Darko closes the distance and clinches up with Teixeira, looking for a takedown. Darko pushes Teixeira against the cage but Teixeira circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Darko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Darko has Teixeira pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Teixeira manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Darko.
Darko wants to control but Teixeira is keeping him busy.
Darko throwing strikes but Teixeira manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Teixeira gets to mount! Darko was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Darko sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Darko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Teixeira decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Darko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Teixeira but Teixeira pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
