Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joao Freitas (ranked 6889 p4p, 435 weight class) and DeMario Valdez (ranked 6496 p4p, 425 weight class). Valdez has chosen Era - Ameno as his entrance music. Joao Freitas is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Darius Henderson and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Freitas looks for a takedown but Valdez sprawls well.

Freitas seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Valdez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Valdez swings for the body but Freitas moves out of range.
Freitas looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Freitas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Freitas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Valdez to the mat! Valdez manages to get full guard.
Valdez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Valdez breaks from the clinch.
Valdez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Freitas.
Freitas was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Valdez misses with a double jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Freitas takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Freitas.
Freitas shoots in for a takedown but Valdez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joao Freitas. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Valdez jabs Freitas right on the nose. Freitas blinks but takes it well.
DeMario Valdez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valdez slaps away a takedown attempt from Freitas, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Valdez's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Valdez duly obliges.
Valdez thows a left - swing and a miss!
Valdez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Freitas. Freitas circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Valdez lands a slapping body shot.
Freitas is breathing heavily.
Freitas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Freitas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Valdez as he jumps to the side.
Freitas drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Valdez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Freitas on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Valdez lands a nice shot that snaps Freitas's head back.
Freitas ducks under a wild hook from Valdez.
Freitas throws a big counter combination but Valdez scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Valdez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Freitas.
Good exchange - Valdez coming out on top.
The fighters circle momentarily. Valdez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Valdez just misses with a punch to the body.
Valdez is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Freitas had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Freitas moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Valdez lands a jab to Freitas's midsection.
Freitas takes one on the button.
A decent looking cross lands there for Valdez.
Freitas is rocked!
Freitas gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Oh Freitas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Valdez connects with a right that clearly hurt Freitas. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Valdez proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Freitas collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DeMario Valdez!
DeMario Valdez very nearly forgot to thank Knockdown Clothes amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
